(*Disclaimer: These products were sent to me, however all opinions are 100% genuine & my own.)

Hey beauties! Welcome back once again to my Burt's Bees mini series - we're doing Part III today!
Just incase you missed or want to check out Part I & II of this mini series, here are the links:

Before getting into today's topic, I just wanted to point out that 4 ranges of Burt's Bees lip product packagings are made with 60% post-consumer recycled plastic. I was pleased to discover that recently - it's always great to know that companies are being environmental friendly. Burt's Bees have a 'Recycle On Us' mail back program, if you're interested - click here for more details.

Now, let's get to our review & swatches! Today, I'm finally reviewing Burt's Bees' lipsticks - the review that many of you have been waiting for. This season (Spring 2017), Burt's Bees added 4 new shades to their lipstick collection, so now we have a total of 18 different shades to choose from. They retail around $9.99CAD and are available at selected natural, grocery, drug and mass retailers (i.e. WalmartTarget and Shoppers Drug Mart).

These lipsticks have a smooth and satin finish. They are made with 100% natural ingredients.

Their key ingredients are:

Moringa oil - It's extracted from drumstick tree. It has many therapeutic properties due to its unique nutritions, of which includes antioxidant,  anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and exfoliant, just to name a few.¹

Raspberry seed oil - It's rich in skin-soothing components, including Vitamin A and essential fatty acids, it has high levels of antioxidants, which hydrate the skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth.²

Beeswax - It comes from beehives. Beeswax doesn't only help bind the product ingredients together, but its nutritions also help protect the skin from the harsh environment, keep moisture in and soothe the skin.³

Thanks to these wonderful ingredients, your lips will stay moisturized and hydrated for up to 8 hours - leaving them feeling soft and smooth!

Now, let me show you the swatches and how each of the lipsticks look on my bare lips.

*FYI: I did receive 4 lipsticks in the box, however 1 of the shade was a double - so I'll only be able to show you guys 3 of the 4 new shades.
The shade I'm missing is Wine Wave

DOUSED ROSE is the lightest and brightest shade out of the 4 new colours. The shade actually shows up pretty much the same on my lips as the it does on the lipstick itself. This shade is very similar to a barbie pink, however there's a slight dullness to it making it more wearable on a regular basis.

CRIMSON COAST is basically the 'must have' red in every ladies' lipstick collection. I like how the red is not too dark or too bright. The shade is perfect for work, any formal occasions, brunch or a date night, you name it!

ORCHID OCEAN is supposed to be the darkest shade of the 4. I was actually disappointed the way the colour turned out on my lips. I thought the colour would be closer to a purple, however it turned out relatively red on my lips with only a hint of purple. In addition, this specific lipstick didn't apply as well as the other 2. It was hard to get defined lines with this one, perhaps a lip liner may be helpful in this case. Overall, I think this shade is suitable for a more dressy occasion.

In general, I would recommend these lipsticks. The best thing about them is that you don't need to apply lip balm before hand because they keep your lips moisturized enough throughout the day. I also like how pigmented the lipsticks are and the satin finishes of Doused Rose and Crimson Coast are so pretty. The only negative thing I have to say is the application and colour of Orchid Ocean.

I hope this review was helpful. My favourite shade of the 4 is definitely Crimson Coast. Which one is your favourite?
Let me know if you've tried any of the 4 new shades in the comments below and your thoughts on them!
