Hi beauties! It's that wonderful time of the year again. I love gifting and personalizing gifts for my loved ones. As some of you may know from my previous gift guides, I love doing stocking stuffers. And surprrrise - I'm doing yet another stocking stuffer gift guide for you guys this year. Let's get started!
Velvet Scarves & Chokers
Let's start with one of my favourite fashion trends this season - velvet. Since it's one of my current favourite material, of course I'm going to have to include it on my list! While I'm loving velvet everything from boots, dresses to scarves - we can only fit small velvet pieces into a stocking. I figure velvet scarves and/or chokers will be the perfect items to fit in there. Below are a few pieces that I think are great pieces to rock during the holidays.
Mani Pedi Products
With the harsh winter weather soon upon us, it's important to take care of our nails, hands and feet. I personally hate dry skin, so having a set of nourishing and hydrating moisturizers for my hands and feet are very important to me. I have always loved Burt's Bees' lip balms (been using them for a few years now) and have recently try out their Mani Pedi Kit. It's definitely a gift set I'd recommend - all the items in the kit are extremely moisturizing and the beeswax help seals it in. The kit includes a Peppermint Foot Lotion, Ultimate Care Hand Cream, Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme and an ecoTools foot brush and pumice. You can easily take the packaging apart and fill up the stocking with all these goodies!
Comfy Lounge Wear
One of my favourite things to do during the winter time is getting cozy with a cup of white hot chocolate - preferably by the fireplace. There's nothing better than doing that in a set of stylish and comfy lounge wear (well, ok - yes onesies are probably the most comfortable to do that in, but we can't fit those into a regular size stocking...so let's get back to those comfy lounge wear). This year, I've been loving Calvin Klein's logo underwear/lounge wear line. Their simple elastic logo bands just make their pieces so much more stylish and they are actually pretty comfortable to be in. Below are a few of my favs that I think will make great stocking stuffers!
Masks & Exfoliators
Just like our hands and feet, it's extremely important to take good care of our face as well during the winter months. When the weather gets cold, there is less moisture in the environment. And to make the situation worse, the harsh wind blows moisture away from the skin leaving it sore and chapped. To remove that dried up dead skin on your face, you will need a good exfoliator. Recently I've been using Fresh's Umbrian Clay Mattifying Face Exfoliant - a perfect exfoliator for those who have normal to oily skin type. It gently dissolves dead skin, refines skin texture, brightens and evens out your skin tone. For those who have dry skin, Fresh's Sugar Face Polish and Soy Face Exfoliant should be great options as they received great ratings as well. After exfoliating your skin, it's important to hydrate and tone them again. For this, I recommend Fresh's Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask and Rose Face Mask - they are perfect for all skin types. Depending on who you're getting this for, Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask will be more suitable for individuals age 25+ while Rose Face Mask can be suitable for everyone. Stationery & Desk Decors
I am a sucker for stationery and desk decors, so if you got a loved one or a friend that is super organized and love writing in their planner - chances are these will be great gifts for them!
Lip Care Products
So we talked about keeping our hands, feet and face moisturized, however there is still one important area that we have not cover yet - the lips. Needless to say, it's also important to keep those lips protected and moisturized throughout the winter. Lip balms are pretty much the only thing that I ever used for my lips other than the rare times I put on lipstick. Recently, I got a chance to try out some lip products that don't only moisturize the lips, but also protect them with their anti-aging components. These anti-aging components in the products help brighten up those lips, keeping them firm and reduces fine lines on them. The products I'm talking about are Fresh's Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy and Sugar Lip Polish. These are great stocking stuffers for those who are aged 25+, better yet you can get these items in a gift set called 'Sugar Lip Entourage' and split up the products for different individuals. Apart from the 2 items mentioned, 2 different shades of Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatment and Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advance Therapy are also included in the set and they are perfect for all age groups!
Fun & Cute Socks
Socks are great stocking stuffers because the majority of us do wear socks and they eventually get worn out and need to be replaced! So why not get fun and cute socks to make it more exciting for the person that's opening up their stocking?! I mean, after all it is the holidays and it should be filled with joy and laughter. Nowadays, there are many different sites where you can purchase socks, however there's a site called Good Luck Sock that has some funky and unique ones. Good Luck Sock is a Canadian company based in Edmonton, Alberta (woot woot to Canadian brands). All their socks are Canadian designed. I got a chance to try out a few pairs of their socks and they are definitely worth buying. Both their quality and prices are pretty decent, they range from $10CAD to $18CAD and they definitely don't rip easily. Good Luck Sock is currently selling 2 types of socks, which includes crew socks and active fit socks for both women and men. Below are a few of my favourite pairs and ones that I think would be perfect for the holidays.
Good Luck Sock also came out with this awesome deal called Sock of the Month Club, which you can subscribe for a 6 or 12 month period. With this subscription, the recipient will receive a pair of new socks each month. If you are interested in this, you can still make a subscription just in time for Christmas!
Haircare products are used throughout the year by many of us, but with the upcoming holiday gatherings and new year events some of us might just use them a little more than usual. Just a few months ago, I was gifted a Ouai - Style Edit Set for my birthday. The set includes a Wave Spray, Texturizing Hair Spray, Finishing Crème and 6 white hair ties. I must say not only do they look chic in the bathroom, but they also work pretty well. To my surprise, their hair ties work pretty well too - they are able to hold up my relatively heavy hair in a pony tail while regular drug store hair ties can't. As stocking stuffers, I would recommend getting their Style Edit Set (from Sephora, which includes the hair ties) or their Jetsetter Kit. They both come in travel sizes, which fit in stockings perfectly.
